Day 161 -164

I love poppies. I love the contrast between the green spiky pods and the folds of wonderful petals beneath the surface.

Day 162 Neatly done
#epicfail - don't do neat - do messy!!

Day 163 Comfort - visit from a friend with 'comfort supplies' but the real comfort was the hug and support x

Day 160 habit

Jusr want to say a big thank you to my twitter photography friends for all your support and virtual hugs! The second Sunday of every month is my studio morning. I really didn't feel like going today, phone rang at 8 am and my first session cancelled due to illness. As I didn't want to waste the session I rang Nic and Tom and told them to bring our Oliver! Sometimes family, a hug from a gorgeous great nephew and lots of silliness is what you need!

Day 159 faceless self portrait

I'm a bit behind and a bit off task. Struggling-but this is a metaphor for how I'm feeling at the minute, make of it what you will, apologies, bear with me x

Day 157 Safe

I'm crying as I type this as this has been such a traumatic week. My mum suffers from 'short term memory loss' and on Wed she fell and fractured her pelvis, to cut a long story short she was transferred to a rehab centre which is specifically for dementia care patients. She cannot remember that she has a broken pelvis and keeps getting out of bed, hence another 4 hour ambulance led visit to A and E yesterday. No amount of explaining what the buzzer to call for help is for or where she is, is helping. She was calm today and safe so we took her outside. Life is cruel and I'm worried about my dad, my mum thinks she is coming home at the weekend but it will be months, if she falls again who knows what will happen, so 'safe' seemed an apt topic today - I just hope that she is , x
