Day 96 Recreate a Book Title

This is my take on the Pulitzer Prize winning book 'Team of Rivals', said to be the book that Inspired both Barack Obama and Speilberg's movie 'Lincoln'.
Tony has many  books on the American Civil war and we did a 'Tour' of Washington, Frederick, Gettyburg, Philadelphia and Boston a couple of years ago - visiting MANY battle sites and memorials. This is two images mereged, one a statue in the main square in Gettyburg, the other an American flag just near the site of 'Little Round Top'. I have to confess I haven't actually read the book!

Day 95 Contrasts

This is an old image but one that does have the title 'Contrasts' it was the first 'street photo' I had taken that actually worked - Barcelona a few years ago. The photo says it all really.

Day 90 Easter Sunday

We have been into Sheffield this morning for a wander with my camera!
Sheffield Cathedral is beautiful but now covered in scaffolding, the only part you can get to is the chapel of St George which is the regimental Chapel of the York and Lancaster regiment.

This is the nave complete with diggers and building equipment.

We wandered a little more to find more art work by the street artist 'Phlegm' - obviously becoming more accepted as there was a huge window sticker of his work in the Millenium gallery.
