Day 180 Choices

Yesterday at the Celebration day for @springwellcss both @andrewshim and @nickiesault who work in the media industry - they are an actor and director (This is England fame) - spoke about their history and choices they had made. Nickie spoke very eloquently about deciding that she wanted to study art - she spoke about teachers that blocked her and about teachers who 'broke rues' took a risk and gave her a chance. Andrew said he went into acting to 'please his gran'! and despite previous unwise choices in his past is now fully committed to his work and was a superb role model for the kids. I'm over simplifying what they said but they both spoke from the heart and captivated both children and adults alike. As teachers we have a choice - we need to nurture and sometimes that choice involves risks! Thank you for reminding us of that.

Today I had the honour of taking photographs at a celebration ceremony @springwellcss - amazing!
A brilliant performance of part of Romeo and Juliet - this is one of the teachers and Juliet - pop art style!

Day 178 In the middle

This is the world famous Aurin Choir from Hungary, in the middle of the entrance to Horizon CC this morning.

Slight cheat today as I'm uploading a photo - made up from several photos at our #teacheat last night (yes - 'Eat' we had a BBQ) - these were taken back at the school where I used to work, and some were at the back of the school itself!

The theme of our TM was - 'Taking Risks'
