Day 365

Well we did it ladies! Thank you for a wonderful year, for all the comments, laughter and encouragement!
Today is another self portrait a year on, this one isn't the clearest photo but I just love this young man so much - his smile just lights up everything. Happy New Year to you all and here's to project 52!

Day 363 - best Christmas present ever!

I love this present! Maria and I have had some ups and downs this year (that's an understatement) but have kept one another going at times with visits to various coffee shops. The local RSPB centre does a passable latte and allows for walks and shopping too. In their shop they had this amazing toy - a tree filled with finger puppets of birds, hedgehog, foxes etc .. I loved it and picked it up every time we went in. I had already bought 'Our Oli's' present so reluctantly put it down again. Look what Maria bought me for Christmas!! (And Hywel and Tommy too) - here's Tommy with my wonderful, now has pride of place in my living room, gift!

Day 362

I Think today's prompt is 'journey' but not sure! So photo one is an abstract concept of  a journey, 2 and 3 are still abstract type shots taken at YSP today on the way back from visiting Hywel, Maria & Tommy (Thank you for my amazing Christmas present - you know me so well, that may be tomorrow's photo!)

Free choice today so uploading 2 - one from our walk yesterday. Still has frost on it.

This squirrel may look cute but it drives me mad! It eats all my bird seed and I have a running battle with it - chase him off everyday.

My son Adam with my Christmas present - wine with Rod Stewart's set list (Adam works at Motorpoint arena) complete with footprints! - will be being framed.

Boxing day walk - lovely and frosty - I've added the quote along with the photo of my Mother in Law's Christmas present!! Enough said (maybe she was thinking of proposed visit to Ghana next year!! Or maybe she just has different ideas to me)

Day 356 Christmas lights

Not traditional lights but Christmas none the less! My friend Vicky wearing the shower cap I won in the raffle and Tony wearing the lights she had been wearing all evening! Bear in mind he is 'The Grinch' this is a grimace not a smile!

OH is lovely but is a real Grinch when it comes to Christmas - he received this card yesterday - thought it was fitting!

Day 355 Shortest day - I know this is the shortest day as it's Adam's birthday - he was born 25 years ago today! 25 yrs since the Lockerbie disaster too so thoughts with all those affected.

Day 347 is 'Not happy' - well I wasn't happy earlier this week but these things have made me very happy so I'm using this as my take on the prompt today!

The image below is of a photograph that I took of  a card given to me by a year 8 pupil - I apologise to a certain principal, who I know occasionally reads this blog, for the spelling but the sentiment more than makes up for it!

I have turned it into a post it using Evernote - I only learnt how to do this yesterday but there are so many possibilities for this technique! - so that made me happy too.

I also sold an image via Alamy stock agency yesterday for $141 so :) all round!!

I am so fortunate to be associated with the wonderful Barnsley Youth Choir! I took some photos at their Christmas concert last night and they presented me with some gorgeous Christmas flowers - what timing!

Day 339 - Letterbox - before you tell me there isn't a letterbox in sight - this is cropped into what is known as 'letterbox format'!! Statue at St Pancras - great for writing and discussion stimulus.

BUT - played with R Oliver this morning!! What a mess but such fun, love him to bits.

Tony looked at the list last night and just laughed - my car is at the garage today as it has a leak so I am vehicle less! This is the drive - complete with skip from last week but no car!
